Situated in the heart of Gourdon, at the bottom of the medieval rue du Majou, Books and Company is an English language bookshop and tea room, selling a diverse range of new books.

We currently stock a large selection of fiction from the latest bestsellers of crime and chick-lit throught to English and French classics. In addition, we have a good selection of travel guides, maps and language books as well as cookery, gardening and the very popular history section. Our children's selection caters for all ages from baby up to late teens.

If you cannot find what you are looking for on our shelves, we can take orders by phone or email. We price our books at the euro aquivalent of the sterling price. Whilst browsing the books, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the shop.

We have a small but quality range of foodstuffs, traditionally made in England, including preserves, chutneys and pickles as well as the popular clotted cream. We also stock English greeting cards.
